A big welcome going out to Jamaica Public Service Company – St. Catherine – Old Harbour facility who will be utilizing eLogger for their operations and maintenance. JPS is an integrated electric utility company and the sole distributor of electricity in Jamaica. The Company is engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity, and also purchases power from a number of Independent Power Producers.
The South Jamaica Power Centre, where eLogger will be used, is the most efficient fuel burning power producer in the country of Jamaica. The plant generates electricity using natural gas in a more efficient manner than any other plant in the country. The new plant will play a critical role in improving power supply reliability. This plant will provide cleaner energy than the older plants that it will replace.
